Ascea is located in the Cilento National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering 180,000 hectares, it is the second largest park in Italy. Its landscapes range from vast olive groves, chestnut woods, and beech forests inland to ancient and charming seaside villages with sandy beaches, stunning cliffs, crystal-clear seabeds, and sea caves ideal for diving.
Inland Cilento offers rural villages with ancient historic centers, castles, baronial palaces, and defense towers.
Marina di Ascea lies along the coast between Acciaroli-Pollica and Capo Palinuro.
Its sea has repeatedly been awarded the Blue Flag. The sandy beach stretches for about 7 km, free and equipped. To the south, the coast ends in an almost inaccessible cliff with welcoming coves reachable by boat.
